Both Mum and Dad lectured in art. We siblings all sat A-level art, along side other A-levels. During my Applied Maths/Computer Science degree, I produced a portfolio of computer generated art. It was in the very early days of computer graphics so I took my portfolio to the Royal College of Art in London who offered me a place to study a Masters of Design. Half way through the course my desire to travel the world was too strong and I left, with an open invitation to return, but never did. It was an inspiring experience meeting such creative people and genuine artists.
Now, after 35 years as a software engineer, I’m painting again. We’ve built a small summerhouse in our garden where I can paint away to my hearts content. A friend joins me to paint occasionally and, when he isn’t working or swimming, Neil provides teas, coffees and laughter.
Here are some of my paintings. despite being various sizes, they all look the same size here. Ah well!
