Both Mum and Dad lectured in art. We siblings all sat A-level art, along side other A-levels. During my Applied Maths/Computer Science degree, I produced a portfolio of computer generated art. It was in the very early days of computer graphics so I took my portfolio to the Royal College of Art in London who offered me a place to study a Masters of Design. Half way through the course my desire to travel the world was too strong and I left, with an open invitation to return, but never did. It was an inspiring experience meeting such creative people and genuine artists.

Now, after 35 years as a software engineer, I’m painting again. We’ve built a little summerhouse in our garden where I paint occasionally ….. when I’m not gardening or continuing our travels and hobbies .
