Neil: Our last day in Vienna. Ceri says we need a bit of culture! So we do . Our central location means we are so close to all the museums . Sisi or Empress of Austria was a great story of sadness and marked the beginning of the end of the Habsburg empire which had effectively ruled middle Europe for 645 years . The later assassination of the Archduke Ferdinand started WW1.
Next out by the tube to Schonnbrun to visit the palace which was slightly marred by a great big Longines marquee in front preparing for a horse riding event
We are done with history now and looking forward to being on the EV6 again tmw towards Bratislava

During the Habsburg reign of Maria Theresa, as an imperial summer residence, this Schönbrunn Palace became the glittering focus of court life. It still plays host to the leading statesmen of Europe, including where JFK met Khrushchev in 1961
Anyway, enough of culture. We’ve had 3 great days and looking forward to getting back on our bikes tomorrow.
