Neil: As we journey along we get into a routine a groove perhaps. Cycle , eat, sleep and repeat . That in essence is the joy of it . There is nothing else to worry about and good heavens there’s lots in the world to worry about . The joy is in the simple pleasure of turning each corner not quite knowing what’s coming next . Today was a case in point . Leisurely cycling along we meet two people in earnest discussion at a cross roads . One is a German speaking cyclist trying to advise an American lady cycling on her own about which way to go . She had no German and he no English. We get chatting to Cheri and we cycle together for a while . We loosely agree to perhaps meet later . She is a little slower than us and we chose a slightly different route . Later that day after we have a leisurely lunch we meet her again coming into Deggendorf . This time we exchange numbers and meet later for a lovely meal together. She has a story to tell as do we !
A simple day you might say but oh so enjoyable and 40 miles nearer Budapest

A very low Danube
